Launching in Hawaiʻi ยท 2026

Lighting the way to health in every community.

Kukui Ola is a nonprofit bringing health care to the communities that need it most. We work through trusted cultural organizations, community health workers, and wellness programs across all four Hawaiʻi counties.

What Is Kukui Ola

Health care that starts with community trust.

Kukui Ola ("The Light of Life") is a nonprofit that brings health services into the cultural organizations Hawaiʻi communities already trust.

Built on Trust

Health starts where community lives.

The best health programs don't start in a clinic. They start in the places people already gather, with people they already trust. Kukui Ola brings care into hālau, churches, and kupuna centers across Hawaiʻi.

Why This Matters

Hawaiʻi faces a health care crisis.

Neighbor islands have the worst physician shortages in the nation. Kūpuna fly to Oʻahu for basic care. Communities devastated by wildfire still lack local health services.

Federal funding has arrived. Kukui Ola is how it reaches the people.

How It Works

From community to care in three steps.

1

Build Trust

Kukui Ola partners with cultural organizations in every county: hālau, churches, civic clubs, and kupuna councils your community already knows.

2

Train Locally

Community health workers, kupuna navigators, and youth peer specialists are recruited and trained from within your community, not imported from outside.

3

Deliver Care

Wellness events, mobile outreach, behavioral health access, and clinical referrals flow through the community infrastructure Kukui Ola builds.

Your community. Your health.
Your light.

Kukui Ola is building something new in Hawaiʻi. Families, cultural organizations, health care providers, and community leaders all have a role.
